What is mobile roaming?

If you travel abroad and use your Progresif SIM in a phone or laptop whilst on a foreign network, this is known as international roaming. Sending and receiving SMS text messages whilst roaming abroad is called SMS roaming. Making outgoing and receiving incoming calls refer to Voice roaming while Data roaming refers to the use of mobile data services whilst abroad.

I received an SMS from Progresif to Activate mobile roaming services on my Postpaid line. What is that?
Progresif has sent an SMS broadcast on the 1st Oct 2022 to inform all Mobile Postpaid customers that to prevent bill shock for outbound travelers, we will be deactivating all postpaid roaming services. However, customers can conveniently activate all roaming services by simply:

  • Responding “Yes” to the SMS broadcast If you would like to activate roaming services*, or
  • Calling us at 177, chatting with us via AskTia webchat on our website, sending us a WhatsApp message at 822 0177, or by visiting your nearest Progresif store.

*Customers who do not respond by 7th October 2022 will have their roaming services deactivated automatically. However, customer can still activate their roaming services at any time after 7th October 2022.

What happens if I do not respond to the Progresif SMS broadcast by 7th October 2022?

Customers who do not respond by 7th October 2022 will have their roaming services temporarily deactivated. This will be done by batches within 2 weeks. However, customer can still activate their roaming services at any time after 7th October 2022 through any of the ways listed above.

How do I activate my mobile roaming services on my Postpaid mobile line?

To use roaming services while traveling:

  • respond “Yes” to the SMS broadcast to activate roaming services*, or
  • call us at 177, chat with us via AskTia webchat on our website, send us a WhatsApp message at 822 0177, or by visiting your nearest Progresif store.

Apakah mobile roaming?

Apabila awda melancong ke luar negara dan masih menggunakan SIM Progresif awda dalam telefon bimbit atau tablet semasa berada dalam rangkaian asing, ini dikenali sebagai roaming antarabangsa. Terdapat beberapa jenis roaming, seperti SMS roaming, Voice roaming dan Data roaming yang berlaku apabila awda menggunakan perkhidmatan mobile semasa di luar negara.

Saya telah menerima SMS dari Progresif mengenai perkhidmatan mobile roaming pada talian Postpaid saya. Apakah yang patut saya lakukan?

Kami telah menghantarkan SMS pada 1 Oktober 2022 kepada pelanggan-pelanggan Mobile Postpaid dimana kami telah menutup semua perkhidmatan roaming Postpaid untuk mengelakkan kejutan bil bagi pelancong-pelancong ke luar negara. Walau bagaimanapun, awda boleh mengaktifkan semua perkhidmatan roaming dengan mengikut cara-cara di bawah:

  • Balas “Yes” pada SMS untuk mengaktifkan perkhidmatan roaming*, atau
  • Hubungi kami di 177, melalui webchat AskTia di laman web kami, hantar mesej WhatsApp ke 822 0177 atau kunjungi cawangan Progresif yang terdekat.

Apakah yang akan terjadi jika saya tidak membalas SMS mengenai perkhidmatan roaming mobile sebelum 7 Oktober 2022?

Jika awda tidak membalas sebelum 7 Oktober 2022, perkhidmatan roaming awda akan ditutup untuk sementara. Ini akan dilakukan secara berkelompok dalam tempoh 2 minggu akan datang. Walau bagaimanapun, awda masih boleh mengaktifkan atau menutup perkhidmatan melalui cara-cara yang disenaraikan di atas.
