Progresif hosts its fourth Cultural Night held in conjunction with His Majesty’s 72nd Birthday

Progresif hosted its fourth Cultural Night at the Jerudong Park Amphitheatre, treating members of the public to multicultural performances by many nationalities from around the world.
The event was held in conjunction with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, 72nd birthday celebrations.
The event reflected the cultural diversity in Brunei ranging from traditional Bruneian dance to performances by the Chinese, Indonesian, Thai, Malaysian, Indian, Filipino, Pakistani, New Zealand and, for the first time, the British community in Brunei.
The event brought together over 120 performers to the stage. The night culminated in a final performance entitled ‘Innovation (Animation) Dance’, a dance that visually expresses the intersection of technology with arts and culture.

Admission to the event was free of charge and is open to the public.  Apart from the performances, there were also activities and prize giveaways.
As part of Progresif’s commitment to support entrepreneurship,  the company partnered with Big BWN Cookout to bring 18 local food vendors: Meshi Bowl, Wings & Drummettes, Alya Jasmine Little Kitchen, Mj & Co, Soulfood Bn (Dracoolers.bn), Tajun Enterprise, Uncle Sam’s Grilled Chicken, Piratescafe.bn, The Penguine’s Kitchen, Mummy Mya Kitchen, SCG, Z-Family Mum’s Kitchen, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, Chef Salleh, E.A.T BN, Jee Bake Away, Kyna Popsicle and Real Halohalo, so the public can enjoy the best local treats during the event.
Progresif booths were also set up so that members of the public could sign up for Progresif PAY, buy a new SIM or top up at the event.
The Cultural Night was attended by Progresif board members, company management and representatives from the High Commissions and Embassies within Brunei.
Devin Edwards, Chief Marketing Officer of Progresif said: “The Cultural Night demonstrates our dedication to arts and culture which is one of the four pillars under our corporate social responsibility programme.”
“The event is also an exercise to explore and showcase the wealth of creative talent from the many different cultures and countries, that are represented in Brunei. The event has grown significantly over the past three years and we’re expecting this to be the best one yet,” he said.
