The winning team from the fashion workshop will spend an entire day working with Malaysian designer Jovian Mandagie.
Progresif continues to take the lead in the support of the local creative industry by sending the winning team from their fashion workshop to Kuala Lumpur to spend a day working with top Malaysian designer, Jovian Mandagie.
Siti Nazmah Hj Abd Samad, Dk Hjh Norazyatul Merna Pg Tajuddin, Nasrul Hadi and Benjamin Sanai, will get the opportunity to showcase their talents to fashion industry experts and gain valuable knowledge to further their creative career, as they work alongside Jovian’s team at the KL Fashion Week.
Devin Edwards, Progresif’s Chief Marketing Officer, said: “Our investment and support for the creative community aims to inspire creative talent in Brunei. Initiatives like these are designed to spark creativity and drive to turn their talents into viable careers or businesses.”
“Our collaboration with Jovian is also an example of how our strategic CSR investments seek to benefit the community in the long term,” he said.
Team member, Siti Nazmah, said: “This is a dream come true for all of us. Working with Jovian during the fashion workshop in April was already a huge achievement but it’s another thing altogether to spend a day with him to observe how the fashion industry works. We’re grateful to Progresif for setting us up with this golden opportunity.”
The team will be tagging along with Jovian and his staff as they prepare for the KL Fashion Week at the Pavilion, where they will have their work exposed to some of the top designers from Malaysia. During the event, they will get a strong sense of what it’s like to work at one of the most significant fashion events in the region.
Progresif will be partnering with local fashion blogger Nabeela Fadzil (IG: @lipstickmyname) who will be present on the ground to interview the team and get live updates on the team’s progress at the event.
Progresif is inviting everyone to follow the initiative on Instagram @progresif_cellular to get updates on what the team from Brunei is up to and to get a chance to win $50 when they follow and comment #thatsprogresif on the KL Fashion Week updates.
