22nd March 2021 – Months of patient anticipation paid off for Progresif Sdn. Bhd. customers and fans as the telco brand opened doors to their new flagship, Progresif Experience Store at Times Square Shopping Centre, Berakas. In attendance at the launch event were Puan Laila Hussainmiya from the Progresif Board of Directors and Hajah Nurul Haniah bte Haji Jaafar, Progresif’s CEO, and Mr Tan Kah Boon of Times Square Management.

“Delivering on the promise to transform retail and drive progress for Brunei” was the key theme in the speech by Progresif’s Chief Sales Officer (CSO), Junaidi bin Bahrum, as Progresif customers and news media got their first experience of the company’s new flagship retail outlet, the Progresif Experience store.

While unveiling a number of unexpected, non-traditional features of the new store in Times Square, visitors were keen to learn that the Progresif retail transformation not only entails innovative new mobile and home broadband plans to give customers greater value, but also making the brand more accessible, and most importantly, reimagining the experience of visiting a retail store in a fresh and exciting ways.

With new features such as an in-store café, a co-working space for start-up partners, moveable digital signage and Progresif Experience Pods which act as customer consultation areas, the new store concept not only transforms the ways in which customers access Progresif products and services, but also changes the reasons for customers to visit and how long each visit lasts. Another exciting development in the new store is the inclusion of a new Progresif clothing and accessory merchandise line, along with mobile accessorizing with phone covers and the like.

“Those who have been following our retail transformation would be aware that since March 2020, Progresif has been modernizing the ways we interface with customers, as well as making our products and services more accessible through digital channels. From online subscription to our services with to-your-doorstep delivery, to mobilizing our sales staff into Street Teams that visit customers in their own communities, to roadshows and pop-up stores, Progresif has made a big effort to make our services more accessible, affordable and convenient. It’s a customer first mentality that prioritizes their experience, and begins a transformation of Brunei retail that aims to progress the nation towards our 2035 national goals”, said Junaidi bin Bahrum.

Staying true to their promise of supporting Entrepreneurship as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility, the flagship store has an inbuilt ‘Concept Café’ that invites start-up Food and Beverage companies to host pop-ups in the store. The first recipient of this collaboration is local coffee shop, Bicara, who will be resident there for the first six months. The store also invited Sneaker and Youth Lifestyle brand, 27SupplyCo. to display 10 pairs of their most popular sneakers.

This collaborative innovation, according to the Chief Sales Officer, is Progresif’s way of increasing opportunities for youth entrepreneurs to make use of the media and infotechnology company’s resources and reach. “Along with the inclusion of Bicara and 27SupplyCo., the future holds exciting prospects for youth collaboration, and with this launch of bespoke Progresif merchandise which fans of our brand can purchase, we are also looking at doing collaborations where local designers can partner with us to do brand crossovers and capsule merchandise collections”, said Junaidi bin Bahrum.

Progresif’s new store launch also coincides with a number of exciting campaigns and giveaways that the public can get in on.
