The Hang Out which originated from Woodwork Kendamas started in a local basketball court as a get-together of 6 people that overtime turned into 12 then 15 and it just kept on growing. Already in its 4th installment, the Hang Out proves to be one of the most popular youth events in the Sultanate that stretches from Belait to Bandar fueled by sheer enthusiasm and passion.
October 2014 marked the birth of the movement, a combined effort by Woodwork Kendamas and Kraytion Co. who were out to bring the street community together in full commemoration. Everything from apparel, graffiti art to skate culture can be found at the Hang Out.
Now with more than 20 vendors ranging from entrepreneurs and artists, the Hang Out has stretched its reach to gaining the support and approval of the Ministry of Culture Youth & Sports with hopes of achieving a monthly frequency for the event to take place at the Skatedium. The next Hang Out is looking to attract more enthusiasts and talents to the cause, as more Bruneians are expected to flock to the best and latest that the street movement has for the community.
